Monomer hostel is one of the ones that I’ll never forget and a hostel that I’ll head to if I ever find myself in Bangkok again. It has fantastic reviews and all for good reason. They are friendly, passionate, and really understand the different types of travellers they have walking through their doors. From private rooms to family rooms, to standard mix dorms rooms, it will probably find a way to work for you.
One of the things I will never forget is that they had little mirror stations on each floor, with cotton buds… cotton buds! Now if that’s not a luxury in a hostel, I don’t know what is. It also has complementary tea, coffee, and biscuits.
I stayed here with three other girls and on the last night of our trip we dressed up and went to Sky Bar (as seen in Hangover 3). Upon seeing us dressed up, they asked where we were headed and then proceeded to ask if they could feature us on their Instagram. It was really sweet, and a good example of how they like to get to know their guests. In fact their whole Instagram is! Check out the Monomer hostel Instagram> here.
From 350 Bhat (£7) upwards. I can’t remember how much I paid but we opted for the private room with our own bathroom which was really lovely and relaxing. We (four girls) could just spread out during our stay.
Super close to Ratchathewi station, as you can see below!
I didn’t have this blog at the time of my stay so unfortunately I don’t have many pictures but you can see lots of photos on the Monomer Hostel website.
