This is a party hostel, there is no question about it. From 9pm onwards you will hear loud music as the bar starts in nightly entertainment (music, fire shows). However, if you are joining the party there really is no issue and that is, after all, what earmuffs are for. It’s worth noting that I did not party every night and still had a perfectly fine time!
The rooms are very clean, have AC, individual safes and a good amount of plugs per person. Downsides are the showers, which are like washrooms. I have to admit that the water was quite smelly, but it was warmish – so you have to way these things up.

My experience: during my travels around Thailand, I was often booking hostels and accommodation the night before. So I accidentally booked the wrong dates, meaning I wouldn’t have a place to stay when my boat brought me to the island the following day (I was travelling from Koh Tao). I sent the reception an email (which they claim is open 8-7pm) however when I arrived on the island and got wifi at 3pm- I still hadn’t had a response. The lady at reception had received my email (I could see it on her screen) but just hadn’t responded! Despite this, they were very understanding and just changed my dates with no hassle. However I was taking up the last bed for the hostel and had to move during my stay. I mention this to warn you that the island is very busy; so with here in particular try not to leave it to the night before like me!
