El Viajero, I’m sure somewhere I still have the branded sticker they gave me, and much like it, my memories have stuck despite the wearing quality of time. This is a super hostel, not only for atmosphere but facilities too.
- Dorms
- Private room double bed
- Private room single bed
El Viajero can work for the diversest of parties. Alone great! I met a great friend there who I spent the rest of my San Andres stay with. A couple and want privacy? Great! They have a private room for two, double or single bed occupancy.
One of the great things about this hostel is its kitchen. You can cook yourself a meal if you are low on cash. It’s also a very sociable feature; many people congregate there for feast before heading out.

Kitchen
It also boasts a sitting room with a large TV and sofas, a large breakfast eating space that hosts events at night and Internet café space. Breakfast is included in your stay and all rooms have AC. The hostel hosts dance classes such as Salsa, Reggae, Bachata and Merengue; and can also help book your activities, such as car rental, diving and kite-surfing courses, boat tours etc.

Thanks for the heads up on the hostel. I hear it’s a lot like Belize.
